My name is Shanna, and I'm the owner of Faithful Companion Pet Sitting.
I began my career as a pet sitter because of my strong love for animals - a
love that began when my mother gave me my first kitten at age three (yes,
I still remember that day). After that, I surrounded myself with all kinds
of animals! Every stray I saw on the street ended up at my house, much to
my parents' dismay! I grew up wanting to be a veterinarian until I
discovered that there's not always a happy ending. Nevertheless, I knew
that I would work with animals in some capacity. It began with animal
rescue work. I've done numerous independent rescues, as well as
volunteer work for non-profit animal rescue organizations. In 2004, I quit
my job in the airline industry and started my business so I could work with
animals all day, every day. This is my full-time job, and I give 100% of my
love and attention to the animals in my care.
Unlike some pet sitting companies that have many employees, Faithful
Companion Pet Sitting is a small business, consisting of myself, my
husband, Jake, and my part time helper, who fills in on my days off. It's
my intention to keep it small, so that I can maintain personal relationships
with all of my clients.
